António Tomas Morgado was born on January 28, 2004. He is a Portuguese road cyclist who currently rides with the UCI WorldTeam UAE Team Emirates XRG.
Career
At the 2022 UCI Road World Championships in Wollongong, Australia, Morgado earned a silver medal in the men's junior road race. He finished behind Emil Herzog, who won the race by sprinting faster near the finish line.
After two successful years as a junior rider, Morgado joined the UCI Continental team Hagens Berman Axeon in 2023. During that season, he won the International Tour of Rhodes and again received a silver medal at the World Championships, this time in the under-23 road race.
In the following season, Morgado signed a four-year contract with the UCI WorldTeam UAE Team Emirates. He finished fifth in the Tour of Flanders in late March and later won his first professional race at the Giro della Romagna three weeks after that event.
