Career

He is best known for his play Idioglossia, which was later made into a movie called Nell starring Jodie Foster. The movie Nell was helped write by Mr. Handley and British playwright William Nicholson, who also wrote Shadowlands. Nell was the first movie made by Jodie Foster's company, Egg Pictures, and was directed by Michael Apted.
