Matthew Edgar Parkinson (born on September 14, 1972) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born in Lancaster, Lancashire.
In 1996, Parkinson made his debut in the Minor Counties Championship while playing for Cambridgeshire against Cumberland. The next season, he played his second and final Championship match for the team against Staffordshire.
In 1999, he made his debut in List A cricket for the Lancashire Cricket Board against the Netherlands in the 1999 NatWest Trophy. This was his only List A match for the team.
In 2000, he returned to the south and played one List A match for Cambridgeshire against Hertfordshire in the 2000 NatWest Trophy. In his two List A matches, he scored 25 runs with a batting average of 25.00, and his highest score was 20.
