Reshma Shetty was born on November 2, 1977. She is a British-born American actress. She is famous for playing the character Divya Katdare on the TV show Royal Pains, which airs on the USA Network.
Early life
Shetty was born on November 2, 1977, to Indian parents in Manchester, England. When she was 15 years old, she moved to Richmond, Virginia. She first studied pre-med at James Madison University. However, her success in vocal competitions led her to change her major and earn a Bachelor of Music in opera performance. Shetty later received her Master's degree in Music from the University of Kentucky. She then attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, where she completed her artist diploma in opera in 2005.
Career
In 2006, Shetty played the role of Priya, the female lead, in the national tour of the Broadway musical Bombay Dreams. She also performed in the Off-Broadway play Rafta Rafta. Shetty was a cast member on the American TV show Royal Pains, where she portrayed a character named Divya Katdare, who works as a physician assistant.
She sometimes appeared as a guest on the Fox News Channel comedy show Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld. Shetty starred as Queen Angella in the Netflix series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, which is a new version of a previous show. In India, she is the spokesperson for Dove moisturizer bar.
Personal life
Shetty currently lives in New York City. She is married to actor and business person Deep Katdare, who acted with her in Bombay Dreams. They got married on March 19, 2011. She had a child named Ariya Eliana on October 6, 2015.
