Branch History & Overview
The Aulds Branch Library, located at 3950 Wayne Avenue, Bossier City, LA 71112, was established in 1971 in the Shady Grove neighborhood. Initially occupying 1,200 square feet with limited hours (2:00–6:00 PM Monday–Friday), the branch has grown significantly over the decades. It was named in honor of Henry L. Aulds, Jr., a Bossier Parish Police Juror whose efforts were pivotal to its creation. Today, the library retains a small-town, neighborhood feel while offering expanded services and programs.
