Biography

Graf attended a high school called "berufliches Gymnasium" in Mühlhausen. This type of school combines regular classes with hands-on training in a technical job, as part of a system known as the dual education system. In the summer of 2011, Graf graduated from high school and earned a diploma. She also completed an apprenticeship in information technology. Afterward, she was accepted into the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft to study mathematical economics.

While in high school, Graf was a member of the Chaos Computer Club. At age 16, she learned about the Pirate Party while researching for a school project. She joined the Pirate Party in 2009 and became the vice president of its youth organization in 2010. In 2011, she ran as a candidate for the Pirate Party in the Berlin state election. She was elected to the parliament on September 18, 2011.
