This is a list of rugby union players who have played for the Sharks in Super Rugby, the Pro14, and the United Rugby Championship competitions, as well as the European Rugby Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup competitions. The list includes any player who has participated in a regular game, semifinal, or final for the Sharks. Players are listed in order of when they first played and their names. The Sharks played in Super Rugby as Natal Sharks in 1996 and 1997, as Coastal Sharks in 1998, and as the Sharks from 1999 to 2020. They played in the Pro14 Rainbow Cup in 2021, in the United Rugby Championship starting in 2021, in the European Rugby Champions Cup during the 2022/23, 2024/25, and 2025/26 seasons, and in the EPCR Challenge Cup during the 2023/24, 2024/25, and 2025/26 seasons.
