Dr. Marc Sorenson is a doctor of education with experience in health and fitness. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1973. In 1974, he and his wife, Vicki, started a health resort called the National Institute of Fitness. In 1994, they sold the resort to Franklin Quest (now Franklin Covey) corporation. Today, they are directors of another health resort named the National Institute of Health and Fitness (NIHF) in Midway, Utah.
Dr. Sorenson wrote a scientific paper in the journal Dermatoendocrinology about Vitamin D and erectile dysfunction (ED), suggesting that a lack of Vitamin D or sunlight might contribute to ED. He also co-wrote a scientific paper on Vitamin D and athletics, published in Science and Medicine in Exercise and Sports, and co-wrote another paper in the Journal of Sexual Medicine about ED, chronic periodontitis, and Vitamin D.
His book Megahealth was chosen by the Literary Guild, Doubleday Book Club, and Doubleday Health Book Club. He conducted careful and detailed research on hundreds of published papers about sunlight, Vitamin D, and health to write his current book, Vitamin D3 and Solar Power. This book has been published in the Czech Republic and Israel. He has also written other books, including an English vocabulary builder titled I Want to Have Words with You!.
Dr. Sorenson was named a founding director of the Breast Cancer Natural Prevention Foundation (BCNPF).
